Spiritual Formation Opportunities at EGCC
Sunday Morning: Faith Training Hour 9:30 am Each Sunday we offer a Bible Study for every age group from young to old. We cover a variety of Biblical topics and books of the Bible. We have also done video lessons from great Christian leaders like Francis Chan and Andy Stanley. Currently, we have two Sunday morning Adult Bible Studies held in our sanctuary and one in the “old chapel.” Both classes are on our second level. Our children’s Sunday school classes are mostly on our third level. Age groups vary by grades. We also have our Sunday school for Jr and Sr high students in our lower level every Sunday. Sunday Morning Worship 10:30 am Each Sunday our minister, Jordan Ickes teaches from the Bible. He believes that God’s Word brings the greatest changes in our life. God speaks powerfully through his Word and Jordan does the best he can at bringing a relevant message from God’s Word each week. Currently we are studying the teachings of Jesus and discovering the point of his message throughout the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. |
Other Growth opportunities during the week:
Co-Group Home Bible Studies: Monday, Tuesday and Thursday Monday evening at 6:30, we have a Co-Group at a members home in Bourbon, IN. Tuesday, at 9:30 am, a Co-Group meets at a member’s home in Etna Green. Thursday evening at 6:30 pm, a Co-Group meets at a home in Etna Green. All groups are open to new members. Co-Groups are “Community Groups” that facilitate personal spiritual growth and growth in the unity in the body of Christ. These groups are a great time to learn about each other and pray for one another. Wednesday Night Kid’s Night Some of the best ways to grow personally are in moments where we serve God. On Wednesday evening we teach children about God, serve them a meal, sing songs and play games, all for the glory of God. We are always looking for more help on this evening, it is from 6-8 pm every week during the school year. Dorcas Missionary Society It sounds old, we know. But it’s one of those awesome groups that get together monthly to learn about Missionaries around the world and also work on ways to be missionaries in our own backyard. The group has served the community of Etna Green over 100 years. You’re encouraged to be a part of this group and help facilitate our missionary efforts to our community and world. The group meets on the first Thursday of the month at a different home each month at 7:00 pm. Men’s Breakfast Food, Fellowship and a devotional. Guys get together, each month for what has become known as “Sausage Saturday.” We’ve been known to consume a lot of breakfast meats on these Saturday mornings. We follow the meal with an encouraging devotional geared towards men. This happens the second Saturday of every month at 7:30 am. |
